Bonang Matheba is doing her part in the fight towards the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). If you do not know much about the SDGs, then you sure need to be acquainted and get involved.
The UN SDGs are a set of 17 ambitious goals that were agreed to by the organization’s countries back in September 2015 so as to make the world a better place.
According to the official UN website, “the Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and justice. The Goals interconnect and in order to leave no one behind, it ís important that we achieve each Goal and target by 2030.”
The SDGs also include quality education. This is the goal that Bonang is passionate about. According to Breaking News South Africa, the celebrity has been supporting young girls to continue with higher education through her foundation The Bonang Matheba Bursary Fund.
